Chiaroscuro - Light & Dark

Experimenting with studio lighting based on the concept of light and dark as part of my photography course work for my final year.

Chiaroscuro in art is "an Italian term which literally means 'light-dark'. In paintings the description refers to clear tonal contrasts which are often used to suggest the volume and modelling of the subjects depicted", and this meaning has extended to other visual arts such as photography and cinema.
